バンクーバー生活の中で34歳日本人女子が見出した４つの目標

約10年勤めた日本大手アパレル会社を退職後、20代のころ踏み出せずにいた海外生活への挑戦と英語習得の目標かかげてカナダのバンクーバーに引っ越してはや1年と5ヶ月経ちます。

想像以上に高いハードルであった言葉の壁と奮闘しながら、自分の大好きなフローラルデザイナーの仕事を修行中。

自分のやりたい事、まだまだ新しいことに挑戦したい好奇心と成長欲。それと同時に離れて日本に住む家族への感謝の気持ちと恩返しをしたい、歳を重ねていく両親が必要な時にそばにいてあげたいという気持ちとのバランスの取り方。

全てを満たすには本当の意味での自由な生活の確立か必要。そのために私が何をすべきか毎日考えていることがあります。

これらを共有することで読んでくださっている方々の心が軽くなったり、人生のプラスに少しでもなればと思います。

①英語力の向上

人間は言葉でコミュニケーションをとります。質の高い英語力はどの国に行っても多くのチャンスを得ることに繋がりますし、会話にはたくさんの小さなチャンスや教訓が含まれているのでそれを全てピックアップできれば自分の世界も広がります。英語はまだまだ私の大きな課題です。

②言葉の壁を越える技術やスキルを磨く

アート、音楽、写真や職人的スキルは言葉の壁を越えることができます。私の場合これがフローラルデザインの仕事になります。人の手によって生み出される美しいモノは言葉の壁を超えて人の感情を動かすことができるからです。

③オンライン収入源の確立

私は去年の12月からパートナーとヴィンテージの服や物のオンライン販売ビジネスを始めました。また日本在住の従兄弟と協力をして自分の好きなヴィンテージの着物や日本の文化の一つであるアニメグッズの販売も行っています。（こちらの写真はヴィンテージ販売イベントに参加させていただいた時もの）

そしてこのブログを始めたのもただの自己満の日記執筆ではなく、楽しみながらこの貴重な日々を記録しつつゆっくりとオンライン収入源にも繋がればと思ったからです。ブログを始めた初日にすぐ登録したA8.netは初心者もトライしやすいアフィリエイトが見つけやすく、リアルにオンライン収入源を作るイメージにすぐ結びつけることができたので非常におすすめです。

④Ikigai/生き甲斐の追求

①から③のことを踏まえても、第一に自分の好きなこと、生き甲斐と感じる事につながっていなければ自由な生活や充実感につながりません。そのため私は常に自分のIkigai/生き甲斐につながっているかどうかを考えながら行動の選択をしています。

花、服、日本の文化、着物、海外に住む、人とのコミュニケーション、文章を書くこと、写真をとることは全て私の好きなことです。

①から④を成長させていく行動を日々行っていれば、それが本当の意味での自由につながり、家族や友人、大好きな母国への恩返しに繋がると確信しています。

The 34-year-old Japanese woman living in Vancouver has discovered four goals

Improvement of English proficiency

Enhancing one’s English skills opens up numerous opportunities and expands one’s world. Quality English proficiency allows for effective communication and provides chances to learn and grow through conversations.

Overcoming language barriers through technical and skillful pursuits

Art, music, photography, and craftsmanship can transcend language barriers. In the case of the woman, her chosen pursuit is floral design. Beautiful creations made by hand can evoke emotions beyond language.

Establishing online sources of income

I started an online business selling vintage clothing and items with my partner in December of the previous year. Additionally, I collaborates with my cousin in Japan to sell vintage kimonos and anime merchandise, which is a part of Japanese culture. Starting a blog also serves as an online source of income, and I recommend affiliate marketing through A8.net for beginners.

Pursuit of Ikigai (meaningful purpose)

Regardless of the previous three points, true freedom and fulfillment in life come from pursuing one’s passions and finding a sense of Ikigai. I constantly considers whether her actions align with her own Ikigai, which includes flowers, fashion, Japanese culture, kimonos, living abroad, communicating with others, writing, and photography.

I am confident that by taking daily actions to nurture growth from 1 to 4, it will lead to true freedom and be a way to show gratitude to my family, friends, and beloved homeland.
