What is Mon?

一つひとつの紋には、その人だけの物語と誇りが込められています。
Mon Wayの「Mon」は、
一人ひとりの中にある固有の花、
個性、才能、可能性を表しています。
紋がそれぞれ異なるように、
私たちもまた誰一人として同じではありません。
Mon Wayでは、
誰かと比べるのではなく、
自分自身の持つ美しさや価値を育み、
その人らしい紋を咲かせることを大切にしています。

Our Foundation
海外での生活を通して、私が何度も立ち返ったのは、
日本人としての精神性でした。
数えきれないのどの国籍や価値観が交わる環境の中で支えとなったのは、
禅の智慧であり、
幼い頃から自然と受け取っていた日本人としての在り方でした。
感謝すること。
調和を大切にすること。
そして、自分自身を磨き続けること。
目の前のことに心を尽くすこと。
海外に出たからこそ気づいたのは、
それらは決して日本の中だけで価値を持つものではなく、
国や文化を超えて人の心を動かす普遍的な智慧であるということでした。
どの国に行こうが、どんな環境に身を置こうが、
答えは常に自分の中にある。
答えを自分の内側に見出すこと。
それこそが、自分らしい「紋」を咲かせることそのものです。
Mon Wayは、
そんな日本の精神を土台に、
答えを自分の内側に見出しながら、
一人ひとりが自分らしい「紋」を咲かせ、
自分らしく「道」を歩むための学びと実践の場です。
Throughout my years living abroad, I found myself returning again and again to the spirit of Japan.
Living among countless cultures, nationalities, and values, what grounded me was the wisdom of Zen and the way of being I had naturally absorbed as a Japanese person from childhood.
To live with gratitude.
To value harmony.
To continue refining oneself.
To devote one’s heart to what is right in front of us.
It was only after leaving Japan that I realized these values are not meaningful only within Japan.
They are universal wisdom that resonates with people across cultures and borders.
No matter where we live or what circumstances we face, the answers are always within us.
Discovering those answers within ourselves is, in itself, the process of allowing our own unique Mon to bloom.
Built upon the foundation of Japanese wisdom and spirituality, Mon Way is a place for learning and practice where each person discovers their own answers, blossoms into their authentic Mon, and walks their own unique Way.
